Samsung wants your hands are a QWERTY keyboard

There’s a lot of rumors about Samsung is working on a similar device called the Google Glass  “Samsung Glass Gear” and that would come later this year. For now we know that Samsung is working on new ways to interact with devices.

A report is leaked that a patent of interface that Samsung is planning for your new device. We draw much attention the concept of a keyboard projected augmented reality on the palms of our hands. Each letter is located on a portion of each finger freeing thumbs to press the virtual keys. The camera would capture the movements of the fingers and then translate them into words. For some time we have heard about these virtual keyboards, which seems impractical although quite futuristic.

But, why a keyboard? What happened to the voice commands?

Voice commands often fail in noisy environments and the main disadvantage is that they have little privacy because other people can hear what you’re dictating or doing with your device.

We have our doubts about whether this device will arrive this year, but certainly will have many new features and innovations that Samsung is preparing for us. Of course this patent contains basics and the final interface will not be exactly as shown in the pictures, but certainly some of this concept should include. What do you think of this type of keyboard augmented reality?
