The Grand Theft Auto franchise has sold over 125 million copies worldwide since it began in 1997. Passing milestones as GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas and GTA IV, the series has evolved by leaps and bounds and has been the leader in the gaming industry type of Open World.
After several years of waiting we finally get to Grand Theft Auto 5, who initially promised many great things that some doubted would be able to be achieved in this generation of consoles. I’m happy to report that today Rockstar met and exceeded in almost every aspect we were expecting.
Prepare for an exciting journey of many hours.
The story this time is told through three characters.
Michael is a retired robs banks who lives in a luxurious mansion with his dysfunctional family. Franklin is the neighborhood kid who is tired of living in the suburbs and life as a novice criminal. And Trevor is a nasty psychopath with bipolar personality worthy of a Tarantino film. Uncertainty their reactions reminded me of the Joker and Nolan is one of the most complex characters that was created in any game or movie.
The excellent dialogue and voice acting make every single person in the game feel believable.
The way you presented each character makes you imported.
Everyone lives in a different neighborhood, meet different people and behaves feature. In fact each character uses a different Smartphone that are an imitation of iOS, Android and Windows Phone.
The big news is that you can switch between the 3 characters in certain situations. This creates well-defined nuances that may well be divided into separate sets, but the Rockstar reaches elegantly combine. It is a single story from the perspective of three characters and despite having scattered frames always make you want to know what will happen next.
In fact, if one of the missions you complete is of the news you hear on the radio while in the car of another character and makes you want to say: Hey! I was the one who did that.
The dynamic between characters is unorthodox but it works well.
Speaking of radio, there are 17 new stations and over 240 licensed songs with music for all tastes. As always liked the musical creators and funny radio commercial will make you smile while they are driving. In addition there are 20 hours of original music that is in keeping with the game’s missions.
The setting is the city of Los Santos renewed we saw in San Andreas in 2004 and is highly inspired by Los Angeles. In fact the airport and some of the key buildings in the city are strikingly similar to the real version. Rocsktar promised greater than all their other games map and I think they have succeeded.
The word that best describes this city is MASSIVE. The entire map is at your disposal from the start, with no limits, no barriers and no loading screens.

The missions usually involve driving from one side to another of the city and complete a specific task. For more repetitive sound, never feel that an assignment is equal to the other, in part thanks to unexpected outcomes. A mission can begin to pick up a special package and end up in a helicopter shooting.
A new feature is the great assaults and robberies must organize. At the end you feel as the mastermind behind the big blow. If you like good films as Inside Man robbing banks or Italian Job and the chase scenes of Fast and Furious, they will feel in paradise.
At the end of Grand Theft Auto 5 lets you do so much that ends up being the game you decide to be. If you want to be a killer combi driver can robrase a bus and put techno-cumbia radio blaring or if they want to be athletes can play Tennis or do Yoga.
Makes you feel like a criminal mastermind.
Mechanical management has changed and the cars feel better than ever. The same can be said for the bikes, helicopter and aircraft. We have also added ATVs, golf carts and jet skis. In fact, the mini-golf, tennis and darts are so well made that well may well be separate games.
The shooting and cover system has been refined, and the influence of games like Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Redemption shows.
Rockstar has learned from all his previous games and it shows.
The graphics are incredibly well made and it shows the evolution when compared with early generation titles like Grand Theft Auto IV. New reflections of light on objects and the great amount of detail in every part of the city will surprise. Perhaps the first drawings of the characters are not as detailed as those of The Last of Us, but you cannot blame anything on Rockstar to create an open world so massive and that performance is maintained. It is by far the most detailed World Open game ever created.
It will take about 30 hours to finish the main missions, but there is so much to do in this world that could easily extend it to 100 hours of play. Also October 1st Online GTA where you can join 15 others to play in the same world and rob banks or parachute is activated.
Surely this game will create new controversy in the news and in the United States Congress for inciting violence and want to ban the stores. And again scientific studies have proven that they made no correlation between violence and video games.
Too many things in this game and would take too detail them one by one, all you need to know is that everything in this game has been polished and perfected. This is one of the most beautiful, varied and challenging worlds ever created.
