The robot named CubeStormer 3 has broken the Guinness world record for solving a Rubik’s Cube in the shortest possible time, the record is now 3253 seconds while the former was 5.27 seconds made by his predecessor, CubeStormer 2.

This robot designed pieces LEGO (LEGO ® MINDSTORMS ® EV3 packet) is the third in the series, was designed specifically for this task and is powered by a Samsung Galaxy S4 processor with eight cores (ARM Cortex-A15 and Cortex-A7 ). The phone is responsible for analyzing the nature as these messy steps and commands the robot to solve.
We’ll stay with the doubt if a Snapdragon, Intel, NVIDIA or processor Apple could have done a lot faster, but we must congratulate the designers David Gilday and Mike Dobson for this new Guinness record.
“We know that CubeStormer 3 had the potential to beat the existing record but with the robot performing faster than the human eye can see physical operations will always be an element of risk. Our biggest challenge now is to work on it faster if possible, ” said Gilday then beat the record.
